    In the first panel, Iki has his ears back, but in the second panel, he puts his ears forward and starts to make his own decisions when he didn’t even get any permission from Raigho. That’s where he went wrong.

    OMG I miss so much the old pages now.Raigho was more lovely and responsible.Also Jera was more times in the panels and she was making the comic more fun.Now the new ones are extremly different and more boring for me cause they don’t give so much attention to continue the plot faster.Sorry but in my opinion the old pages are WWWAAAYYY better than the new pages.

            Actually, that person is stating their opinion. Just because he/she isn’t fawning over the comic like some wolfaboo on speed doesn’t mean that person is rude. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and an honest critique is a good thing for any author or artist.

      Yup, you are right. Jera is too crazy now. But I can understand Raigho. He is nervous now, Hati forced him to walk by dangerous way, and he heas got time limit? I forgot it, but Fehu is rebelling now and Iki want back to Othala’s dead pack and…AAAAA I’will be crazy ._. Try to understand him :)

    Raigho is only acting as any alpha would. He feels that his position is threatened by the other males because they keep overstepping their bounds and trying to call the decisions on their own. Any three of them could challenge him for the position and regardless of age or experience, it would be a fight and a fight that could lead to injury. He wants to avoid that at all costs. He knows more about humans than they do and he knows how dangerous they are. He knows that if they were to go back, even if they did find a survivor, it would be a great risk to them all. Best to move on as quickly as possible, which is hard with an injured wolf, which is also one reason why he’s so angry with Gebo.

          First of, you can’t compare Iki’s spirit color to any of the others, becuase it is supposed to be TOTALLY white.
          Haki seems to care for Iki, his, due to the legend, brother…but he sure has a total black spirit color => he is the Black Spirit afterall.
          Compare Kaya’s spirit color to Othala’s.
          Othala was selfish and too lazy to hunt other prey than humand food and what happened ?
          Her pack got killed, except for Kaya, though Kaya has the ”darker” soul.

          Also, the *raven* with the white spirit does not sound pure and innocent. It sounds pretty wicked to me. I really doubt the spirit hue has anything to do with the character’s alignment.

    In my opinion, I think that Iki himself might blackmail his way out by threatening Raigho with his own life, which he knows he can’t accept.
    But in spite of that, The next panel could be based on the others watching them argue. Maybe further giving out insight on what will happen.

    I’ve never seen Raigho so angry as he is. But you who say he’s turned mean, you can’t just look at this one page. The majority of the last chunk of the comic has been nothing but bad news in Raigho’s point of view. Here, allow me to show you…

    The first bad thing was meeting and almost having a fight with Othala’s ever-growing pack.
    Then Othala’s hunters brought back a dead sheep. Big no-no for wolves near humans.
    They leave, but Gebo turns back and leaves Raigho’s pack. How do you think that made Raigho feel?
    They come here, and the ravens tell him that Hati wants them to go though what could possible be the most dangerous pass they’ve ever gone through
    Raigho’s dominance is challenged by Fehu, an older male with no blood relation to the pack.
    Gebo returns after Raigho strictly told him to leave and never come back.
    And now, Iki is (in an indirect sorta way) challenging Raigho’s leadership by saying he’s going to go back (which, where Raigho is concerns, would mean the mission would be a failure and they would have traveled away from their home and faced all the dangers for nothing.

    So there you have it. The Raigho we all love is still there, but the stressed out Raigho is just surfacing for a bit. At least, this is how I took it.

      I totally agree with you, but I don’t think Raigho’s kind of “afraid” for loosing the leadership and the trust of the others ect. And I also THINK that he must fork over Iki to Hati. What I don’t know is why he is doing that. 1) Hati told him that, if he does not accept to lead Iki to him, he’ll kill him and his pack, or 2) he is just “evil” or want to deliver him for an unknown reason.

      (sorry for my english level ^^)

        If you look in the past pages though, Hati has the red eyes of the black spirit. I think Hati wants Iki so that either Iki can help search for the wolf who was supposed to guard the sun, or replace the wolf who was supposed to chase the sun.

      It’s pretty standard, first, start with the highest bubble on the left side of the panel, then (and if there’s a bubble in the middle that’s higher) look to the right side and read the highest bubble, repeat this procedure with each panel

    Really well done again^^ I can totally understand Iki’s point, but Raigho is more reasoable here and of course they should not go back. Raigho is calculating the danger and Iki just wants to go back, because he can’t judge the danger the humans are. As far as we know, he has never encountered humans so far. The expressions of Raigho are especially done very well here. I like his angry face in the last panel very much. The bodylanguage is done very well on this page at all^^ I like it and I wonder, if Iki will try to get to Othalas pack alone, if Raigho does not allow him to go…..

      Don’t you find it suspicious that Iki remained uneducated about humans, even if he’s a full grown wolf now? They’re one of the greatest threats to a wolf yet Iki seems totally caught of guard by the danger they represent.

      Also, if there will be a fight…. where do your money stand? With Iki or with Raigho.

        Yes, iki doesn’t know about the humans, but raigho is trying to hide information from him, therefore he’s not te brightest bulb in the room, the problem is that raigho and jara treat iki like a baby, they haven’t really taught him much so I would get the facts right, THEN be a critic.

          Get what facts right? We don’t know a thing about what happened between Iki and his family during the time when he grew up. The so called facts that you presented in such a kind, heart-warming manner are nothing more than assumptions hidden under a different banner.

          The thing is, what happened in the comic prior to the moment when these wolves embark on their epic quest is an open canvas that can be painted with different colors, depending on personal preferences.

          In my case, I did not want to believe that Iki somehow “missed” one of the most vital life lessons ( those being the dangers represented by his enemies ). It does not make sense. In the wild, any animal teaches its offspring those lessons that will ensure its survival.

          @wolfgirl: Indeed, but Iki has the will and the reason to fight by his side, while Raigho is just a tired and angry old man :D.

            Well this isn’t really “realistic” is it? It’s a fictional story, not something taken out of nature, at this point, logic does not play a part within the comic, nor does science, why do you care anyways? just enjoy the comic.

          It’s called immersion, which dictates the reader’s willing suspension of disbelief. If you don’t understand those concepts then you have no place speaking about how “irrelevant” science is within a fantastical setting.

            You should, because this is the exact thing that happens when you bend the rules and the common knowledge too much. You are not wrong about the fantasy setting and the freedom of creativity that’s bestowed upon the author when creating such work, but if you stray too far away from the facts and the “science” without giving a proper explanation, you’re only going to alienate part of your readers.

    Oooooooh, drama, drama! :D So either;

    A) Iki snaps and unleashes his inner spirit, resulting in an explosive loss of a needed, key component to the ravens’ master’s plans. He runs off after Kaya; Seven sees Iki. Seven sets trap? Kaya gets caught, Iki explodes again. Big showdown, pack shows up, Gebo unleashes his fury upon the human races’ faces. :3 Pack continues on their merry way.

    or, B) He gets scared and submissive and the journey continues as planned. ^^;

    …. :D Eeeeeeeeeeeep! Can’t wait!

    Ah, I love this page! The expressions, and the almost desperation-like anger to Raigho in the last panel. But in the second panel, it seems like Iki’s under-jaw is a bit short. But please correct me if im wrong, it just seemed a bit off to me. But anyways, a perfect page as usual! I would expect nothing less from these pages.

        Ahahaha, uh, no. If you can tell right here, Iki only wants to go back because he wants to HELP THE OTHERS. He doesn’t seem to understand that guns will always be quite a bit powerful against wolves, not to mention that both the horses and hunters could easily kill them without weaponry.

        I really hope Raigho at least teaches Iki a lesson in both pack heirarchy and how dangerous humans are.
